Admissions
Applying to British universities can be daunting, particularly for international families unfamiliar with the UCAS system’s requirements. Oxford and Cambridge applications are especially challenging — our coaches know this firsthand. Our admissions consulting pathway is designed to demystify the application process. These sessions are recommended in combination with a foundational pathway in the subject you wish to study at university — for instance, an applicant to PPE at Oxford might opt for the admissions consulting pathway and the Thinking Like a Social Scientist course.

We advise on…

Selecting the right university course is not just a question of the subject area that interests you. We guide you through deeper considerations: what is the research culture and composition of a particular faculty? What assessment methods do different universities use – for instance, an emphasis on longer thesis-writing versus in-person examinations – and which is best suited to your skillset? Which departments and universities are renowned for specific academic fields?
We also consider strategic and practical questions: which university degrees are most employable in an increasingly AI-oriented society and economy? How does the desirability of specific degrees vary across different countries and economic sectors?
-
We guide you through crafting an eloquent, clearly structured, sophisticated personal statement that lets you and your passions shine. After initial brainstorming on your statement’s structure, message, and content, we review multiple drafts and provide detailed feedback for improvement.

We coach you through the many challenging questions regarding your Oxbridge college choice: which college has faculty members most aligned with your interests? How does the statistical likelihood of acceptance for different courses vary across colleges? Which college’s culture and practices most align with your identity and values? What kind of extra-curricular activities do different colleges excel at? These are all questions that our coaches, who have studied at, worked in, and taught at a variety of Oxbridge colleges, are well-equipped to guide you through.

Oxbridge undergraduate interviews and admissions tests are principally focused on assessing your thinking skills, rather than your knowledge of academic content. We offer practice interviews based on challenging and realistic interview questions and conditions. These sessions train your verbal reasoning and help you develop thoughtful and sophisticated ideas and argumentative skills.
Our admissions test sessions cover strategies for optimal performance, feedback on practice papers, analysis of strong and weak example answers, techniques for managing timed conditions, and other key considerations.
